Australian Wildflowers
I thought I'd start a thread and add digital shots of Australian wildflowers that have been taken in their natural rough environment. There have been lots of bushfires a few kilometers away and I plan on making a trek up there to shoot some of the emerging new growth, which I'll also post here.
This flower here is a grevillea that sort of creeps along at ground level. D70s 55mm ƒ3.5 micro-nikkor probably at ƒ8

Was the 2nd photo taken with the 55 mm as well? Nice bokeh.
The lighting isn't exactly flattering, though.

@abstract,
Yes all 55mm micro nikkor It's been a bit difficult to get any local shots lately but the 'bearded iris' has just sprung up. A very innocuous looking plant, just a few thin whisker like bits of greenery poking up out of the leaves. But an attractive flower. Shot in dappled sunlight, no flash, not sharpened, ƒ8 or ƒ11 |

@Scarlet Fever,
Sure, I think NZ wildflowers will qualify. I've not been over there myself. Here's a Kangaroo Paw in a pot on our balcony. shot at ƒ4 |

@Dog Bone:
They aren't wildflowers per se, but they are some nice plants which I found over there (NZ); |

yeah its weird. It was some moss stuff growing near the mountain areas of New Zealand. Heres a shot of the landscape; the stuff in that photo is the lighter stuff in the bottom left corner.
Oh and if you want to see any of these in full size (6MP), just say so and i'll upload them to my deviantART account
