Brands to look for: Iogear, Aten, Dr. Bott.

Make sure you get the DVI version with USB keyboard and mouse. Some switchboxes require PS/2 ports, even if they also have USB. Read the specs carefully.

I'm trying to find a KVM switch with two USB inputs to use with two Macs. Does any one know of one in the ~$30 range? The closest one I've found is this, but that uses PS/2.

E: Nevermind, I found this on newegg and it's just what I'm looking for.

i have a dvi switch from addonics. works well, but there is electronic static sound. they say they can reproduce it. not sure if it's b/c i have all my external stuff plugged in or if it's b/c of my g4. either way, don't buy from them

i noticed that iogear has a new 4 port which i'm interested in. i'm sure their 2 port rocks too. i should have bought one with more ports as i c/d connect my pc to it (currently 2 macs, but going to buy another someday i hope).

cheers,

Ordered the Iogear Gs1762 2 port from TigerDirect @ $176.99 the Aten Cs1762 looks exactly like the Iogear but cost $10.00 more. As far as a $30.00 KVM with DVI I haven't seen one close to that price all I have seen are app. $175.00 and up.

The Aten 4 port is a lot cheaper at their direct site than the dealers. The 2 port is about the same price as from dealers. WWW.aten-kvm.com

I picked up a Iogear model, 2 port DVI and USB and audio. $159.99 at CDW.
