PB G4 stuck on grey screen after security update...

Before anyone say "search" I did search and all the methods didn't help.

Wen to software update and security update. When upgrade was done I rebooted the system as it asks. Now the PB only boots to the gray screen with the apple logo but no spinning wheel under it and it stays stuck.

-Rebooting manually didn't work
-Left the PB like that for an hour and nothing
-"safe mode" holding shift after power up doesn't work
-"single mode user" hold command + S after power up doesn't work

So I tried with the install cd, I got to disk utility and repair disk but a message came up "no repair necessary"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

no go... Did everything as described on the link, waited for the second start up sound and nothing. It goes back to the gray screen with the apple logo with no spinning wheel

Anyone?
