I got this iBook, 12" G4 800.
It wont turn on.
Press battery button, no lights come on.
Plug the AC adapter in, orange ring of light.
Machine turns on.
Press battery button, lights come on (2).
Unplug AC adapter from running machine, turns off almost immediately.
Keep machine plugged in (to charge), orange light remains around AC adapter, but the number of lights on the battery remain the same (2).
What is the part that is most likely the culprit?
Am I correct in assuming there is a board inside that connects the battery to the mobo and it needs to be replaced?
Is there a fancy name for that?
