Europe New iPod availability...

If any Europeans have information about the new iPods availability in Europe post it here.
Apple said May 9th, but maybe we'll get it earlier?
 
Mine (ordered minutes after the UK store came back up) is still in the "Being Assembled" stage. I'm actually not that hopefully of even getting it by May 9th, let alone earlier!
 
From what i can tell from my apple dealer, the new ipods will be here (in ireland anyways) around the 9th but not before then...
 
I read on Spymac that some Norwegian guy's iPod shipped yesterday and will get to him this monday.
 
8-10 days for me from the 30th. Ready to ship on the 9th sounds about right.

Anyone know if they all come from Holland like the refurb stuff?

Can't wait - filling my time ripping tunes 😛
 
I don't know if I should order at the Apple.com store or wait till i can buy it in a shop (a real one) here in Denmark.
 
I'm in Austria, and I ordered two iPods on 29-04-2003 in the Apple online store. Yesterday I received the "Order was sent" confirmation with a shipping date of "02-05-2003". I wonder how long it takes...? 😎

Update: This is what the shipping information page at "Kühne und Nagel" (contracted delivery company) tells me at the moment:

My K and N ETA is 6th May (just checked again), now thats either a good thing or its an internal ETA when delivering to another branch, i don't know, anybody care to tell me?
 
Damn it mine hasn't shipped! When I got my new iBook last year the K&N ETA was useless. I am in the UK and that was the ETA of it arriving at K&N in Luxemburg (why?). From there it spent a day being transfereed to IEC and then another 2 days to reach me in London. Which model did you order? I'm getting a 30Gb and want to know if the reason it hasn't shipped is because it's a different model.
 
Still no update at K&N... 🙁 - most recent information is still "02 may 03 30 65 departed from product source for merge Apple; Taiwan"....
 
I would be really interested what people think of the new iPods. I am planning to get one in the next couple of weeks.
 
I ordered the 15GB iPod. If this is a internal ETA then i am not happy, why show internal delivery times and have customers view them?

Infact i hate ordering stuff from apple, but its a necessary evil, everything takes 2 weeks + to actually get here.

I ordered an update CD for my iBook on the 19th and its still not here! How long does it take to burn a CD and simply post it from Ireland, 10 working days according to Apple, if i knew another mac user in Blackpool with broadband my life of updating would be so much easier.

Plus today of all days is a bank holiday, i hate them as well!

I'm on a windows machine here at the moment so i cannot post a screenshot but basically its says it has arrived at EDC today and the ETA is 6th May.

New info:

Today I emailed a computerstore called Officeline in Copenhagen which sells Apple products. A sales guy told me that they would get 10 & 15 gb iPods by the end of this week and 30 gb iPods at the end of next week.
I ordered a 15 gb... woohoo.

So it seems like Apple's date (may 9) may come true.

Your post made no sense to me, i am using the same courier yet i have an ETA in the ETA field and you guys who keep posting your updates do not show anything, why?

Mine is now the 9th of May, its left the transit hub:

As I said, they just happen to be not displayed for me. Trust me, I would be the first one to want to know the ETA date of my shipment... 😕

The 'apple centre' in Soho that pretends to be an apple store said they would have them in by 'the end of the week'.

Just got email saying it has been shipped 🙂 Don't know where it has been shipped from so can't predict how long it will take. Anyone know where they are sent from?
