Faxing from my mac

Can I fax a word document from my Mac easily? I'm on a DSL connection and am running a dual 867 G4.

***I want to fax using the DSL line, not my internal modem.***

I think the only way to fas is to use your Modem on your phone line (which probably is also your ADSL line). All newish (1998+) macs come with FAXstf.
