iPod Any way to disable the box that pops up in the middle of the screen?

Hi,

I'm a new Mac user with iTunes 7.0.2. Every time the song changes, iTunes pops up a box with cover art and song info -- smack dab in the middle of the screen. This is very distracting. Is there any way to disable it or at least move it into a corner?

I have played about with my iTunes (also 7.0.2) but I can't recreate what you describe. Any chance of a screen dump?

Screen shot attached. It also appears every time I pause and resume playback.

Mine doesn't do that. Are you sure you don't have some sort of third party stuff installed?

Edit to add: Like maybe GrowlTunes?

Ah-ha.... it was QuickSilver, which I haven't really even figured out yet, but I had it running and it had that option enabled.

Assume you mean QuickTime. QuickSilver is a drawing management system for concurrent engineering (I use it in my work...)

QuickSilver is also an Application Launching Program, more info here
