Hi guys, ive ripped a couple of movies and put it on my ipod no problems.

Recently i added a couple more movies in .MP4 format, they play in itunes but when i goto movies on the ipod, it doesnt seem to display there.

Help?

It also seems to eat up space on the ipod

Run the movies through iSquint Optimise for TV - H264, and it should work fine

When the 5.5g was released the specs for movies on iPod changed. iSquint sorts that out.

But you're most likely using Version 1.2 of the iPod software - that's what changed the specs on video. It uses baseline (low complexity) encoding, whereas it used to be just baseline encoding - I have no idea what that means, but it has changed what you need to encode. I find that Handbrake no longer works straight to iPod, so I use iSquint on the Handbraked mpeg to make it playable in the iPod.
