Hi

I listen to all my music using itunes, with a cable running to my amp and speakers from the headphone socket of my G4.

Is there a reasonable priced sound card I could get that would improve the sound quality? I imagine it would be red/white phono outputs.

All you recommendations/comments would be greatly appreciated as ever!

I tried a number of EchoAudio demos at work, and finally settled on the Mona (now discontinued 🙁). I liked the Echo’s Mia, and I think that the older version sold for about $50. It's a good basic studio grade card.

Edit- Ok, I had no idea what kind of deal they cut me. Sorry, that card is a little pricy. If you can find one at that price, you will be happy. I met the ennineers. They are good people and wow (as I look at prices), I frogot what sound cards cost.

thanks guys, I'll check out how to get one in the UK.

Will the quality be noticable better?

Yes, but the quailty is only as good as the weakest link in the chain. Get good cables and keep the tips free of oxide.

M-Audio is nice

I've got the Delta 44 and had no trouble setting it up, it sounds good too. And they seem to update their os x drivers frecuently, so I'd recoment it.
