Ok so i had my new nano plugged in to my powerbook and the battery died so my computer went to sleep. The nano was charging at the time and connected to itunes. After the powerbook went to sleep the nano screen turned white and i plugged the power back into my computer. When my computer woke back up the i saw the nano was still connected to itunes so i ejected it. Now the nano is still plugged in, ejected from itunes, and the screen keeps flashing do not disconnect. So what do i do?

Reset the iPod by holding the Menu and middle select button down until the screen goes black. Let go and let it restart itself.

You will not loose any files.

These five steps (known as the five Rs) will conquer most iPod issues.
1. Reset your iPod.
2. Retry with a different USB port.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Reinstall iPod and iTunes software.
5. Restore your iPod.

I found that on the front page of Apple Support. I hope it helps!
