Wii on TFT - Nearly there...

So let's look at what I've got so far an d see what people think as I think i'm This | | close to getting my Wii on the tft.

I've got the component cables as a start point - which I'm then hooking into this connecter

http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/2692...e-3-cinch.html

Which converts it to what I believe is a male Dual Link DVI-I connection based upon this picture.

Now I have a monitor that has both VGA and DVI-D female connections. Anyone suggest an adapter I can use to change the DVI-I connection to one of these (and preferably a UK outlet) as I think this might *just* work

Yeah that should work on most TFT screens. Unless you want it to work with any Apple display or the Dell 30" display. I don't quite understand why they've bothered putting all those pins in there when all its using is the few that send an analogue signal.

Yeah but this is what I'm saying, at the minute the adapter gives a DVI-I signal out. ANyone know how to convert that to DVI-D, or VGA?

You can get component to vga cables off eBay for about a fiver. Converting to DVI-D would cost quite a bit more since you'd be looking at an expensive scaler. There is one that's supposed to be coming out but I think its meant to be about £300 (Geffen HDMate). You could try to find a AV receiver that can scale component to HDMI and then use an HDMI to DVI cable but those probably cost a good £500.
