MacAztec macrumors 68040 Original poster May 12, 2003 #1 I just ripped a DVD in forty-two. I used the "Near DVD" mode. 12 minutes of the DVD have been encoded, and the file size is already 220MB! How come DivX's that you download are usually only 700-900MBs? Am I supposed to do something after this?

Kwyjibo macrumors 68040 May 12, 2003 #3 A dvd is like 9 gigs or 5 gigs probably 9. You wnat similar quality to that so sizes wil lbe up there. I suggest u try to pick the mathod that forms it for a stnadard CD or for two Cds. The trade off between qquality and size is decent.
