Hi ive been conned im afraid brought a ipod 20GB from ebay to find it comes up with needs to reformat then internal error. is it as i assume unfixable any help would help tried resetting it but doesnt want to menu & select:confused::mad:

Well, have you tried reformatting it in iTunes? What sort of computer do you have? You might be able to reformat it with Disk Utility or the equivalent on Windows. :)

Have you got iTunes installed? Plug the iPod into the computer, open up iTunes and select the iPod in the column on the left. It should then give you the option to reformat it. :)

Goto iTunes then reformat.

Should work unless you are...

a) technically incompetent

or....

b) very unlucky

If b), resell on ebay but sell as damaged or for spares. You will at least get some of your money back. :)

If a), Lock yourself in a closet somewhere after removing all electrical devices and wait until "digital age" ends before emerging. :p

If it's defective, shouldn't you be able to get your money back from the seller? You should be able to just reformat it easily through iTunes, but it shouldn't be screwed up in the first place...
