I'm getting ready to do a clean install of OS X, however I was going throught the install instructions for my Radeon 8500 (currently installed), and they state that the software must be installed PRIOR to installing the video card. How is this possible when doing a clean install ??

ATI

ATI is stupid. I have an 8500 too. DONT INSTALL THEIR SOFTWARE.

It messes up your system. Just run a clean install and you will be ifne.

That's exactly what I needed to hear !! 😀 So Jaguar natively supports the Radeon 8500 ?

Yes. ATi mention that you shouldn't install them on versions of 10.2 newer than their driver-releases.
