Accessing usb ports via terminal
I just bought a really cheap sd card reader, but the problem is OS X is flipping out when I try to plug it in. I keep on getting the following message when I run dmesg: "USBF: 376902.977 AppleUSBEHCI[0x1f29800]::Found a transaction past the completion deadline on bus 91, timing out!"
My question is: is there a way to get access to the USB devices via the /dev directory. I know in linux you can get something like /dev/usb0 and such, but none of the names in OS X seem very descriptive. |
