Well I was waiting on the iTV to do anything like this until I saw the lack of formats it supports. I guess I'll just buy a nice external hd and use my macbook for now. One question though, my tv supports 1080i not 720p. It will not convert 720p to 1080i (an older hdtv). Will the mac output at 1080i with the dvi to hdmi adapter. I know it will do 720p but will it do an interlaced output.

Anyone else who has done this? Let me know your results concerning video tips and general software tips.

I have my Macbook hooked up to my HDTV that does 1080i and 720p. I haven't run into any problems. I believe the MacBook does all the work, but I'm not sure.
