.Rar Files, the definitive answer

Well I have some files that are broken up into parts, in a .rar file.
Now when I use stuffit expander it expands, but in parts not in one file... If someone can give me the info to how to do this, thanks.

sounds like a movie you downloaded. if it is check to see if they have two rar files that are part 1 of the movie and part 2. that can happen a lot.

For reasons unknown I couldn't get your file to work, (forums or safari always acting up...)

This is probably what you posted...

*sigh* must I repeat myself?
I'm sorry, I must not be clear.

I used the program, it made all of my 44 .rar files ---> 1 .bin file.

I repeate
44 .rar ---> (used the program) ---> into 1 .bin file.

What the hell am I supposto do with a .bin file that can't be opened? Or what am I supposto open it with?

well id ont know if youll admit it on the forums or not but it looks like a movie to me. im almost positive it is. looks like part 1 of matrix reloaded if i had to guess. go download vcd tools and extract the mpeg from the bin file. the bin file is a vcd format and you burn it with toast. but if you wanna watch it on your computer you gotta extract it. try that and see how it works. im me online if you have problems.

actually no ijon. VLC on both the mac and the pc can play the .bin files directly. If he found a .rar its probably kazaa or bittorrent. my friend made a good point, think of one time u've used the rar format for a legitimatep purpose. Typically (not always, i know it can happen) its used for more controversial things.

i guess if you want, heres the thing, it could have legitimate purposes, a great analogy is marijuana. there are plenty of medical purposes but the rest are controversial here in the states.

yes.

No, its not porn.

And no it aint the matrix... I saw it why would I want to again?

It is a bunch of .rar files my friend made his homemovie on, and he is just to lazy to make them into a readable format for me!
arg, now he wants me to burn them!

If I burn the .bin file can I read it on a dvd drive or is there some extremly long process?

depends on your DVD player.

The .bin file is _presumably_ a VCD or SVCD disc. If your player can play it.

did you try VLC? (as mentioned above) That will work without burning to disc.

Acually the point of this was not to use my PC. I didn't want to tell my dad why I was leaving the computer on to get the file from my friend. His file took forever to get (he hosted on like 57k ISDN )

I have the file on my computer, ready to be burnt and given to his friends now I need toast, is there no other option?
