Gamespy is Back!

In case you missed it, the latest Civ IV update has been released that adds Gamespy multiplayer matchup capability.

As many of you know, Gamespy is a cross-platform multiplayer matching technology that has been sorely missing from Mac games since they changed their licensing deals and quit giving Mac developers a break because they had a lower sales reach than their PC brethren.

According to Peter Cohen at Macworld, Gamespy looks like it has reversed that decision in the past month or so, so we may start seeing more gamespy-compatible games coming out here in the near-term.
