I recently started running F@H on my iMac and iBook. However, I'm wondering, should it only run when I'm connected to the Internet, or does it only need connection when it finishes a WU? And if it finishes a WU and I'm not connected, will it hold it and transmit it later, or is it "lost"? Currently, I only run F@H on my iBook when I'm connected, just to be safe, but I'd like to run it all the time.

No, F@H only needs to be connected when it sends and receives work units. It processes the proteins offline.

The process should simply wait until you have a connection. It will retry periodically until it can send the finished work.

Yeah I had a similar question the other day. I've completed 1 WU and send it back without any problems. it'll just try to send the results back every so often untill you do connect. With the GUI client you can quit it and re-open it to get it to send the completed unit without waiting for it to automatically try.
