EASIEST SOLUTION (3 Really Quick Steps Explained in Detail)
STEP 1
Download the free Unarchiver application for Mac. Available from the Apple website at the following URL:
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/theunarchiver.html
STEP 2
Rename the file extensions on each ".zXX" file to the ".XXX" extension as follows:
.z01 to .001, .z02 to .002, etc. (if the number of files is greater than 9, begin using the next available "0" to continue numbering, ex: .z10 to .010)
Each time you change the extension, a pop-up message will ask if you actually want to change the extension. Select "Use .XXX."
There will be a .zip file as well. Rename it to the ".XXX" format as follows:
If the last ".zXX" file is, let's say, .z06, and you have changed its extension to .006, then the .zip file will become .007 (it is treated like the next sequential file). The .zip file will always become the last number in the sequence.
STEP 3
Select all of the newly changed files (now formatted as .XXX) and select "Open with Unarchiver" by right (secondary) clicking on one of the selected files and choosing the option from the pop-up menu.
The Unarchiver application will open and begin processing the file. Once complete, the application will automatically close and the uncompressed/no-longer-segmented file will appear in the same location as the .XXX files.
Hope this helps
