B burritos macrumors member Original poster May 27, 2003 #1 I just added a new 80 gig hard drive. My OS X is on my 10 gig, and I installed the OS 9.2.2 on my new hard drive(to run old programs). Do I still need to install the OS X to run X items that are on my new hard drive?

melchior macrumors 65816 May 27, 2003 #2 some software can be picky about where it wants an application to be. but installing os x on that drive won't solve the problem. if you're up to the challenge, (it's not much of a challenge, really) you can move your applications folder onto your new 80gig HD. check out macosxhints.com for some great pointers. p.s. my 500th post!
