OK I have 4 MPEG2 streams that play in Quicktime Player since I have the MPEG2 plugin. Does anyone know how I can burn the MPEG2 Muxed tracks onto a DVD-R and have them play in a DVD player?

Two ways:
Open them in DVD Studio Pro, you'll need to demux the audio first though, and upsample to 48K, thats the hard way.
The easy way is to export the streams from Quicktime as DV stream files, throw them into iDVD 3 (which will re-encode them to mpeg2😡 ) and burn the DVD from there, you won't need to demux the audio, but make sure you export the audio as 48k in the muxed file.

I tried the QuickTime with video I extracted from my TiVo into an mpeg-2 file. Set QuickTime to export movie as DV stream (video PAL for UK, audio 48.000 kHz) - but the exported file has no audio.
The original mpeg-2 file does have audio when played in QuickTime, but when I play the DV stream back in QuickTime, or preview in iDVD, all I get is silence.

which is a free Mac OS X ultility for converting to and from different formats including DIVX and Mpeg2.
