Think the thread title is self explanatory. I managed to leave my Macbook magsafe power supply somewhere where i cant get it back til Monday. I have a band rehearsal tommorrow for which I need the laptop - and its one of the last rehearsals before our first gig.

I know ppl who have macbook pros from which i could probably borrow their power supply, but is it going to work ok and not damage my laptop? I know they are a different wattage.

I could do with finding out asap cos otherwise I have to drive 60 miles and spend £60 on a new one that I dont really need, cos there is no time to rearrange the rehearsal.

Thanks

Yes. It's a maximum wattage, not an absolute number. Your MB will be fine.

If you think about it a MBP (or MB) requires more power when in use and charging the battery than in use alone so the adaptor has to be able to vary the power provided...
