A "Shut Down" problem

A new problem with my old Mac.

When I select "Shut Down" from the File menu the computer is "Restarting". Not every single time... but often enough to make it annoying.

I have an iMac DV Special Edition, 400 MHz PowerPC G3, running 10.2.6

Help!
