Hi, I have a macbook pro CD hooked up to an external monitor for an extended desktop. Is there anyway to set the external screen as the main screen instead of the laptop? All I can get is for the external monitor to either mirror or be an extended desktop to the laptop, not the master screen with the menu bar. Any help is appreciated. thanks!

The white bar indicates the Menu Bar (in case it wasn't obvious, sorry)

Also, when you're using a video app and want to display it full screen, make sure you drag the video to the window you want it to display in.
Some apps require you to set which screen you want in the prefs.

If you close your Macbook and it goes to sleep, you can plug in a usb device to wake it up, then only your seperate monitor will be on. The Macbook's monitor will stay off even if you open the Macbook up. You can then use the keyboard and trackpad without using the monitor.
