Last night I was working on my eMac and installing some new apps, did a disc utility, and maintenance using OnyX, however when I restarted Safari and Firefox kept not opening, iTunes did. So I decided to restart and zap the PRAM (apple + Option +P and R), now iTunes and Dashboard doesn't open. and the problem seems to be getting worse. What is going on??? the only thing in the Sys Pref I changed was my VPN, I deleted it because i don't use it. Please someone help. I don't want to reinstall the whole OS if I don't have to.

Thanks in advance,

Donny😕

Weird. What exactly did you do in OnyX? Start by creating a new user in System Preferences and see if you can open apps from there. Hopefully the problem is constrained to your Home folder, and creating this new user will be able to tell us if it is. 🙂

What programs did you install? Its possible that OnyX accidentally fiddled with some files in your library folder, in which case an archive and install of os x should solve your problem.
