Hi,

I have a little problem burning Cds or DVD on my MBP. I cant find the option to leave the CDs open (so that I may add more files to a cd later on) using the finder when burning CDs or DVDs.

I think I saw it once but I cant find it, Would you be kind to point me the way? Thanks

Unfortunatly, that's not really something that OS X does well.

I believe you have to burn through the Disk Utility and check the "Leave disc appendable" box. Note that each appended section of the disc will apear as a separate volume mounted on the Desktop.

The freeware Burn app also does this. I'd like to see OS X handle this better, a la how it is in Windows XP, but it was an issue throughout Panther and Tiger, so I do not expect it to get "fixed."

i agree. apple has this to say about it.

Yeah... I honestly think that, while Disk Utility is great for enterprise situations, for day-to-day end user burning, the idea that one should have to create and save an image file and then burn that separately seems needlessly complicated.
