I have a bunch of MPEG home family movies (Sony Handycam 8mm) on my PC, which I'm bringing over to my Powermac. I'm trying to make home family movies DVDs (birthday parties, graduations, ..). iMovie don't see the mpegs. Whats the best (easiest, cheapest) way to convert mpegs to DV. Will Quicktime Pro do it? or Cleaner 5 for Mac.

thinks for the info!!
I might just dish out the $30. Nut should I get it for Windows or Mac. I'm using a ATI-All-in-Wonder video card in my PC to capture the video of off my 8mm camcorder. Then I send it over to my Mac through SAMBA. Would it best to do the converting on the PC? that way I'm sending only dv files over. Hmmm. I can't afford an Analoge/DV converter as of now, so I'm stuck with my current set-up.
