I'm having a perplexing problem connecting my Macbook Pro to the Internet via my wireless network. Here's what I know:
1. I can connect to other people's wireless networks
2. I can, via an Ethernet cable, connect my MBP directly to my cable modem and get online
3. I can connect to my Linksys WRT54G router from my MBP (to the config page)
4. I can connect to the Internet if I swap in a different router
5. I CANNOT connect to the Internet if I use the standard wireless setup: cable modem > WRT54G wireless outer > Macbook (either via wireless or with an ethernet cable)
So, it appears that there's some disconnect between the router and the modem. Or, that the router itself is shot. Which is weird since all the lights indicate that it's working fine.
I'm at a total loss now how to troubleshoot this one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
