All in one printers are nifty gadgets. Unfortuantely, they are prone to suckage.. at least those I've come across.
And apparently the one that these Army grunts have come across had similar problems. But they have a much better solution for fixing it than I ever had.

I've put into my boss for a budget addition. I hope we get one!

Enjoy!

I'd like to do that to my fax machine at work.

What is it with HP products attracting bullets in Iraqi combat zones (re: HP iPod saves soldier's life thread)?

Actually, I think it's a testament to HP quality that the printer works just as well after being riddled with bullets as it did before.

Kinda like how Windows is a testament to Microsoft quality because it works just as well even after Worms have eaten large holes in it and millions of kilobyte-size Greek warriors emerged from their trojan horses to pillage it ;)

That guy has the worst aim I've ever seen.
Maybe that's why the President needs congress to up the war budget, because the soldiers are wasting ammunition on inanimate objects?

That is a very high caliber, high velocity weapon he is using. Many of the shots are likely passing through the printer without knocking it over, giving the illusion of minor damage.

At that distance, a shotgun would blow the thing apart nicely.

The M249 is actually very low caliber, being only 5.56mm as opposed to the 7.62mm ammo that guns like the ak-47 use. I think most of the reason for inaccuracy is from the high rate of fire. Either way, that gun doesn't really need to be all that accurate. It's designed to spray bullets in the general direction of the enemy for as long as possible to provide suppressing fire on the enemy.

i have gone thru several hp all-in-ones and they all sucked. one of them streaked when it was fresh out of box. surprisingly, the pcs950 i purchased back in 2000 or 2001 is still working.

I'd like to go Office Space on its ass and beat it with a baseball bat while gangsta rap music plays in the background. Then I'd like to return home to breakdance.

Couldn't of said it better myself. :D

I once subjected an unruly printer to some 00 buckshot...talk about catharsis. :)

Being able to riddle it with a SAW would make my day as well, but 5.56mm passes right through stuff to easy...an M60 or (respectful tone) M2HB .50BMG would be even more fun.

Down with crap printers!
