That doesn't look like two 30's... or my eyes deceive me. Weirdness. It does when I look at the stand now... The stand is a big fatty thing.
i see lots of goodies in that picture: shuffle, creature speakers, isight, mx revolution, bluetooth keyboard. nice!
They are most definitely 30 inchers. I can tell by the keyboard - it has the same width as most widescreen 20 inch displays.

It's a shame such a nice setup has to be confined on such a small, cluttered, dirty desk.

the 23" is a little too big for my current desk, going to a better one soon.
Please forgive the mess and the fact it's running on a PC, my MBP is there too!

One of my favorite threads. I can't wait to see more pics. Makes me want to get a Mac Pro + ACD now, but alas, I'm gone on vacation for three weeks soon; might as wait till I come back. But for now, I'll keep dreaming.

Well lets see, 16 by 9 ratio, and the diagonal is 30, that means that
H = height
L = length
H^2 + L^2 = 30^2
and
16H = 9L because 16/9 = L/H
so L = 16H/9
If you substitute this L in the original equation, you get
H^2 + (16H/9)^2 = 900
4.16 H^2 = 900
H = 14.7
L = 26.15
I think that should be about right.

Awesome, thanks. I tried to figure it out myself, but I realized that I needed the ratio to get an accurate number. The measurements under specs at Apple's website is totally wrong. It says: Height: 21.3 inches (54.3 cm) and Width: 27.2 inches (68.8 cm). Even with the stand, the height is waaay too high.
Edit: Are you sure those are the right measurements? It seems too wide.
Edit2: The aspect ratio is actually 16:10.
