I am in the same situation. Are there any other programs and espcially freeware ones that can be used with MAC to download and open .pub files? I am able to open .doc with my Microsoft Word, I am able to open .wmv with QuickTime. I have not been able to view the .pub files yet.

Any freeware programs for MAC would be very helpful. I have found some for PC's, but that doesn't help me.

I just tried to do the same and received a message "Filetype conversion is not currently supported for .pub" but they list .pub under the "conversion types" at the top of the page.:confused:

I search the forum for ways to open .pub files, and I found this thread.
Thanks for tips. The Zamzar worked perfectly for me :) :)

I would look at finding some one with MS Office '03 and geting them to open it then print it to a pdf

Zamzar download contaminated?

I just used Zamzar to convert a pub document for my Mac. One hour later I started receiving spontaneous, unsolicited auditory commercials. I have never had this happen with my 5 year old mac. More than a coincidence...
I'd stay away from Zamzar!!!!

conversion success

I just wanted to echo that I too had success converting .pub to pdf using Zamzar. It took maybe half an hour, but it worked.:)

Graphic converter converted the graphic portion of a "business card sheet.pub" for me, then pdfonline converted the whole thing to my gmail account so that I got the address & tel, too. It also converted a pub containing a jpg very nicely for the back of the card.

Good to have two tools ready. :apple: :cool:
 
Zamzar didn't work for me the first time I tried it, but the filename had spaces in it. When I removed the spaces and tried again, it worked perfectly.

My non-working filename was: Camp Flyer (1).pub

The filename that worked was: camp-flyer.pub
 
Publisher to Macintosh

PageZephyr can read and save Publisher files to a .rtf or .txt file.
From that point, import the data wherever you'd like!;)

There is no need for Publisher to be installed.
