Need help picking a new laser printer

My printer just breathed its last breath. I am looking for a new b&w laser printer--an ink jet is not an option I want.

What laser printers to you recommend for $1000 or less? This printer will be connected to an iMac DV with Jaguar.

How about a color one?

Check out the Apple Store online for a good list.

Here's one lifted from the site :

If you have an Apple Retail Store near you, I'd check out the Lexmarks they stores themselves use for priting receipts.
