I Don't Know What Any Of Those Are But I'll Take It

My repair permissions is going crazy with changes. Can't believe how many.

Second pass none. Restart Required No Thanks. I'll wait 'til I have a break I can afford to reboot in. I wish Safari had a memory for all the windows and tabs that are open so you could restart it from where you left it last. Is that in Leopard's Safari anyone know?

I strongly suggest rebooting as soon as possible. Applications will start breaking due to changes in Keychain Management. (More specifically it is probably the Login Window changes.)

Restart took very long. Stayed for a few minutes at the grey screen with the Apple logo, then went black again, started again (on its own) and continued to start up in a more normal fashion.
I had logged out and back in just before running software update.

(MBP 2.33, 160 GB, 2 GB, installed the Aperture 1.5.3 update at the same time).

After restarting my MacBook after installation, I seemed to hang on the Apple start screen for quite a while. My laptop restarted once again, and then went straight to the login screen.

Very odd. All seems fine now though.

My MBP17" C2D crashed while rebooting after installing the update... After the second reboot and a long wait it was back on again. :-(

A plugin for Safari called SafariStand that already does it.

i have an iBook G4 and this update hosed up my airport or something. after my restart it won't automatically find the wireless networks and when i connect to a network, nothing happens. this happened a while ago and i had the wrong network password, but that's been fixed since then. when i try to open up internet connect, i have to force quit it b/c it freezes. any suggestions?

do i have to plug it into my wall charger or something silly like that?

Edit: i went to a party and came back. i turned on the computer and it worked. whatever.

Ok my iMac 24 is just hanging on the white screen! NO apple logo! What do I do?

Arggg, held down the power button to close it, turned it back on and its still haging on the white screen!!!! ( I did this twice already!)

Edit: Ok, I reset teh SMC and now I see the apple logo! It seems to be working...

What a great update, lol

Edit #2: mine rebooted twice also.

Everything is up and running now...overall it was an inconvenience becuase I had to unplug all the stuff I had pluggen into the back of hte iMac!

Why would you need a security update for a Mac?? I plan on switching from Windows for, among other reasons, the fact that OSX already is secure. Isn't it??

Installed, rebooted, no sweat, no strain on two different machines. (iMac G4 & G5).

Might I suggest restarting the machine, then installing the update, and then restart again. I had both of mine update shortly after very recent reboots. Like I said, absolutely problem-free; no permissions issues, Keychain, Spotlight, nuttin'...

Repaired Disk Permissions before the update : no repairs needed.

Repaired Disk Permissions after the update: no repairs needed.

Fine by me.
