I finally got 2 copies running and I did 4 work units (5 if you take into account that both clients are about 50% on their current units) in about 18 hours! wow...i usually did about 1.9 units a day running one client in 9.1 and about 2 units a day running one copy of the GUI client and one copy of the command line client in 10.1.3...

As every experienced programmer knows, GUI can easily slow your program four fold. It makes sense that the command line version would be much faster.

Re: woah. setiathome command line client is much faster

That's why even the classic Mac OS version of the distrubted.net client when to a command line version a couple years ago. That, and it also allows them to share a common, text based interface code set.

I might try to get the command line version then, currently I use the GUI version, but I have never thought of it.

I need to get back into programming, its a great life!
