8x DVD DL media?

The Mac Pro DVD double layer writer is capable of writing up to 8x speed correct?

I went to Fry's last night but couldn't find any 8x DL media -- the fatest I saw was like 2.4x

Is 8x media available yet for DL writing, or is it just starting to come along?

Verbatim has 8X DVD+DL, but I cannot confirm if your superdrive can burn at that speed. My G4 Pioneer 106 is a single layer burner.

On my PC I can burn Verb 2.4X +DL at 6X on a Pioneer 111.
