BODIES: The Exhibition...

http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/bodies.html

Has anybody been to this? What do you think? Was this the thing that was in 007: Casino Royale?

Maybe in your neck of the woods, but it just came to DC in April.

In the (world) news, not in my neck of the woods.

Off topic, but... For what it's worth, I highly recommend it. Puts the others to shame.

I take it this is plastination? Just not called bodyworlds, though.

I saw it when it was in Houston. It was crazy. I loved it.
It was so interesting to see the human body in such a way. Definitely catch it if you can.

I never would have said that about SC. Though you are right, he has a pout too.

Another good exhibit if you can't make it to BODIES, is Our Body: The Universe Within, I saw it over spring break at the Orlando Science Center, was an amazing exhibit I learned a lot and enjoyed it.

I saw it last year in Las Vegas. It was an interesting exibit. I missed the BodyWorlds exibit when it was in town.

One of the neat things they did was display smokers lungs with a plexiglass case next to it where you could throw away your cigarettes. It was nearly full.

Thanks. I saw the Body Worlds exhibit in Chicago a few years ago - amazing show everyone should see. I went at 6 pm on a Sunday during the last week and was one of maybe 10 people in the whole exhibit. Any one see the display of the guy on horseback? Wow.

Yeah, it's gone from the MSI now - I believe it's moving to Arizona next. Looks like MSI has a cool Star Wars Exhibit coming this fall though.

The story behind the Bodies and the Bodyworld exhibits is that they used to be one entity. Supposedly, a manager/partner left the original body exhibit to start a competing one. It's funny that Houston was supposed to have both Bodies and Bodyworld exhibit in the museums one after the other. Then, one of them withdrew. Gotta watch your business partners.
