Using a normal plain text file you can add markers in a quicktime movie....so I would guess that you can add some descriptive text along with those markers. The only thing would be is how to get that information available to search engines from within the movie.
Any quicktime experts out there?

Quicktime indeed

It is possible to include different tracks into a quicktme movie since version 3.
You can include a text track to show text within a movie, a html track to load a specific URL (absolute URL) in a specific frame for instance.
Also a separate Flash track to include a (animated) menu to go to a specific frame within the movie.
Also a chapter track to insert chapter names for specific parts of the movie.
And no, the movie itself is not searchable, but the page you embed it in is.
You can also make your own skins.
