Help! I was playing around with the information window in finder for one of my folders and put the OwnerShip And Permissions to no access and I lost access to the folder...when I tried to switch it back to Read&Write [making sure every option was set to this] I still have no access. I am the only administrator on the computer [there aren't even any other accounts...] What do I do to get permissions back?

Thanks,
Mark.

What is the folder's path?

Is this a system folder, or a folder in your home directory?

I need to know this to know what to reset the permissions to

open Terminal.app in /Applications/Utilities

Then type in the following:
Code:
sudo chmod u+rw
(with a space at the end) and drag the folder to the Terminal window and press enter. it will ask you for your password, in which case you just type in your admin password, and it'll change the permissions for you.
