I get the feeling that "in May", meaning "by the end of May", actually meant "on the very last day of May".

Then again, Apple likes to make its announcements on Tuesdays. We have two Tuesdays left: May 22 and May 29.

I'm holding out as well for the DRM-free music as well, but I think Doctor Q is right Apple is holding out for the last Tuesday in May or the very last day or May.

Maybe we'll see it this Tuesday with the release of Maroon 5's new album. Apple has been pushing it a lot on the store.

I've been wondering the same thing as well.

Based on their past releases of Tuesdays, I'm guessing it will be this Tuesday, the 29th.

EMI are about to be acquired. I wonder whether it will stall progress on the non-DRM front?

Perhaps Apple is waiting until the very last minute, hoping another record label will "jump on the bandwagon" at the last minute (or maybe they are already in serious negotiations).
