Managing Photos in Lightroom
I've just begun to use Lightroom, rather than iPhoto, and I'd like to stop using iPhoto all together. Is there a way I can stop the computer from opening iPhoto when I plug in my media card, and open Lightroom instead?

Lightroom > Preferences (or just use Cmd + ,) > File Mangement and then in the 'When a memory card is detected' pick show Import Dialog. Also, I think you need to set Lightroom to open when a memory card is attached as well. To do that go to Image Capture (probably in iPhoto too) choose preferences and General and then choose the app from the pull down menu. I'm not sure if you need to do that though. Hope that helps!
