EMI being on the selling block was no secret, so hopefully Apple signed an iron clad agreement with EMI that their new owners can't get out of without an extremely large fee paid back to Apple.
Besides... EMI would face a bigger backlash then Apple if new EMI owners reneged.

They're under contract and the new owners bought long after the deal was made public. They wouldn't dare try to turn things around. Besides, by the time this goes through, it'll be old news as Apple will have been selling these for awhile. They aren't going to revoke it when the contract expires if it's been successful. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot. Even if it isn't that popular, it's still worth it to them for the extra money they'd pull in and there would still be a huge backlash.
Plus, they refused the deal Warner offered and went with someone else who seems happy with it, so this is all just speculation at this point. Guessing eventually everyone else will jump on the bandwagon too. Then the point will be moot.
