Hi All,

On the Apple Canada website, if I order a Macbook white with the same specs as a black Macbook, the price is different. Why?

Example: Black macbook, standard configuration = $1549 (Canadian academic pricing) 2.16ghz processor, 160 gb HD, 1gb memory, superdrive, etc.

White macbook, same configuration (which involves upgrading a hard drive from their standard package) = $1433

The issue is the same on the US apple site. ($1374 vs. $1499)

What do I get for the extra $100 other than a black case?

Thanks. If this has been explained already somewhere else on the board, just let me know.

Nothing. Just the black case. It has been discussed numerous times, you just need to know the correct search pattern to find it. 😉

The only different is the color which I think is pretty neat since I'm a fan of black!
And yeah there a lot of these threads, just have a look around in the Macbook/Macbook Pro forum. 😉

Definitely check out the refurbs, the price diff is much less. Black cases are mad sexy though 🙂
