Connecting macbook to external monitor

can it be done ? what kind of cable do i need? - are there any issues?

Yes...depends on what inputs the monitor has, but probably mini-dvi to dvi. No issues that I am aware of.

Dvi connection? How about just a simple lcd screen? Or even TFT?

Also, is it possible to connect an external keyboard?

TFT is a form of LCD. High quality LCD screens will have DVI connectors. Lower cost ones are often limited to VGA (15 pin D-Sub). If your screen does not have a DVI connector then you need the Apple Mini-DVI->VGA adaptor, otherwise the Apple Mini-DVI to DVI adaptor.

More or less any USB keyboard will work (as will mice).

Easiest thing in the world once you have the proper adapter. And immensely helpful to productivity.

if your lcd uses vga get the mini VGA-VGA dongle and if it's DVI get the DVI one.
