Is it normal for my stats to be like this?

I am focusing on the Virtual Memory section.

FYI, it is a Mac Pro.

Virtual Memory numbers are virtually (pun intended) meaningless. They're an indication of how much VM all of your apps could possibly use in total if they all maxed out at once. The actual amount being used is almost certainly much, much, much lower.

It's not meaningless, per se. But it's not a valid performance indicator, when determining if you have too little RAM, and require an upgrade.

Nick, you're in the green.

I am a student, and am planning on capitalizing on the cheap PixelCorps membership this summer. I have FCP1, and I'm thinking of upping my RAM. When I render my machine tends to chug, and I can only imagine that is due to the limited RAM.

FYI (pt. 2)
:apple: Pro 2.66
1 gig RAM
ATI 1900XT
