Ever since I got a new battery (Newertech), my audio acts funny. It's not just the speakers, but the headphone jack and microphone. When I touch the part where my wrists rest, I'll hear a crackle from the speakers. If I tilt the computer to the left or right, the audio will work, but will start acting funny again when I set it back down. Seems like there's something up with the audio hardware, but I don't know where to look to check. I'm fine with opening up the computer (I've replaced the harddrive a couple of times), so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Or if anyone has suggestions as to what else might be causing the problem, let me know.

I'm running 10.4.9 on an 867Mhz if that matters.

Does the problem go away if you put the old battery in?
Is there a difference if the mains charger is plugged in or not?

Unfortunately, I didn't notice the problem until after I shipped the old battery to be recycled, so I can't test it. I don't see any change in this strange behavior when the charger is connected or not.
