This would be a good time to go to 1 GHz but I know that is a lot to ask for...but how about 600+ MHz for the laptops?

no way for the 1ghz. How could that be a good time when only a month ago we hit 867, and just this week the 800's shipped? I even doubt a speed bump on the TiBook. Just a new optical drive.

I'm thinking that January is a more realistic time to see a speed boost in the G4. Even that, though, may be jumping the gun. :-/

i have been hearing even more about the price drops, and some very convincing rumors about speed bumps also, so who knows? In the TiBook that is.
