Why does my Mac Mini crash when it has been left for the screen saver to come on?

When I leave my Mini Mac long enough for the screen to shut off the computer crashes with two rainbow coloured circle. I have to switch it off so that I can use the Mac again. What can I do to stop this from happening?

Could be a few things... What peripherals do you have plugged in? What apps are running? Are you having any other issues with your machine? Maybe check out Console in the Utilities folder to see if it caught anything in the crash logs. :)
