Best Software to Back Up To External HDD ?

Hi, i'm looking for the best way/best software to back up all my data and application from My Macbook to an external HDD
can anyone help to tell me what is that?

Carbon Copy Cloner and Super Duper are the most often recommended on the site. Head over to www.VersionTracker.com to check them out.

thanks for the fast reply 😛
anyway between CCC and Super duper which one is more recommended ?
i don't want to lose any data just because i choose wrong software to back up,

Either one works fine. If you ask 10 people here, you'll probably get 50% voting for each.

Start with Super Duper!, all the basic features are free so you can try it before you buy it.

It wasn't meant to be confusing, but rather liberating.
Just pick either one (flip a coin, whatever) and start using it.
You'll be fine.

Carbon Copy Cloner is free. I would recommend using free stuff until 10.5 and then just use TimeMachine.
