I cant yet get broadband in my area but I noticed that BT have announced a midband service (128kbps ISDN). However, under their FAQ's regarding Mac support i found the following;

Q:Why is BT Midband not supported on Apple Mac?

A:_Apple Mac is not currently supported due to technical limitations which could result in a serious degradation of network performance for other users. Development work is currently underway to resolve the problem.

Can anyone explain this to me?

Plain and simple theres no one at BT who knows how to use a mac in the net department ring them up and ask them and say escuse me why cant i use my mac on your service and see what there answer is.. What about cable and wirless they still going have to escuse me was in england up till two years ago when i moved to sunny australia ...

So yea i think its because they cant be bothered dealing with all the phone calls..
